Ratings "Dallas" + renewal news!

Hey guys,

Good news! DALLAS is not only the NO 1 ranking cable show (beating even "Rizolli & Isles", which took the title in the last couple of years) with an avarage rating of 6.9 million viewers (+3 & +7 ratings included), But TNT also announced earlier this week that it has RENEWED the succesful continuation of the series with a 15-episode order so far! The second season will air in 2013 (date TBA).

It looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Elena Ramos (however, we have no idea on contract lengths so it could all depend on that as well.)

These are the Wednesday/Thursday ratings (not incl. +3 & +7) for the episodes that have aired so far:

Episode 1 "Changing of the Guard" - airdate: June 13, 2012: 6.86 million viewers (US)
Episode 2: Hedging your Bets" - airdate: June 13, 2012: 6.86 million viewers (US)
Episode 3: "The Price You Pay" - airdate: June 20, 2012: 4.76 million viewers (US)
Episode 4: "The Last Hurrah" - airdate: June 27, 2012: 4.08 million viewers (US)

As you can see, the day-ratings have dropped slightly over the past 3 weeks, but not to worry. It's normal for new shows to start very high (because people want to see what it's about) and then drop slightly - especially for a show that was so popular in the first 14 seasons.

We're happy to inform you that "The last Hurrah", still tied for the NO 1 cable show on June 27th.

Also, if you've missed any of the episodes so far - TNT is airing episodes 1 to 4, back to back on the 4th of July. The Dallas-streak will end with an all new episode (episode 5: "Truth & Consequences") at 9/8C.

Jordana brewster talks tricked out soccer mom vans! (Fast 6)

At this week’s press day for the upcoming return of the drama series Dallas, premiering on TNT on June 13th – and starring original cast members Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Grey, along with a whole new line-up of actors – Jordana Brewster took some time to speak with Collider about what drew her to television and this show and character, in particular.

While we’ll post what she had to say about being a part of Dallas closer to the show’s premiere, we did want to share what she had to say about her involvement in the Fast and Furious franchise. Although she hasn’t yet gotten to read the script for the next installment (tentatively called Fast and Furious 6) , she was able to speculate a bit about how Mia might deal with motherhood, possibly getting to shoot the film in the UK, her hopes that she’ll get to be more active, and that even though there is pressure for each film to be as good as the one before, she trusts the filmmakers because they don’t take the fans or their expectations for granted. Check out what she had to say after the jump.

Collider: Have you gotten a chance yet to read the script for Fast and Furious 6?

JORDANA BREWSTER: No, I haven’t. No, I haven’t seen the script yet, but I’m dying to.

There’s been talk of it filming in London and Berlin this time. Are you excited about that?

BREWSTER: Yeah. And, Justin Lin has been tweeting from the UK. He tweets pictures and people get to guess where he’s tweeting from. I’m really excited. I love shooting with them. We’re a family. I’m on my fourth film now. I was in the first, the fourth, the fifth and now the sixth, if everything works out. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.

There’s also been talk of adding Gina Carano this time.

BREWSTER: Yeah.

Would you love to have some conflict with her?

BREWSTER: Gina Carano would kick my ass! But, I would like to have more action. In the fifth one, it was really fun. Mia was on the road with Brian and was jumping off roofs. I liked seeing Mia in a more active role. That was really cool! I think the fact that she’s a mother shouldn’t limit her, in any way. I feel like, if anything, that should make her even more active because she has more to protect.

Don’t you think she could totally trick out her soccer mom mini-van?

BREWSTER: Right?! You know what? I actually feel kind of limited when I’m in the driving role because that’s all green screen. There’s only so much you can do with the driving stuff. Paul [Walker] is really good with that because he’s really familiar with all that stuff. I need to be told exactly what to do, when I’m shifting and everything. I’m like, “I cannot make this look cool! I don’t know what I’m doing!” But the active stuff, I love. I love going to the gym and I love being active.

Because the fifth movie was so successful, do you feel pressure with the sixth one?

BREWSTER: I think it’s amazing when you work with people you really trust, and I really trust the writer and I really trust Justin. They don’t take the fans for granted. They know that expectations are high and the fans are awesome and very loyal, and you can’t let them down. That’s why they bring in fresh elements, like Dwayne Johnson, and older elements that the fans love, like Tyrese and Ludacris and hopefully Michelle [Rodriguez]. That adds what the franchise needs.

Doesn’t that also help keep you guys from getting bored?

BREWSTER: How could we be bored, though? We traveled to Rio! We’d have to be pretty jaded.
